Fermenting February.

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to share my February adventures in the wine world, basking in the Australian summer with beach days and crisp rosé.

I’ve recently become a representative for PinotQR, assisting wineries whom export into Europe compliance with new regulations for displaying nutritional and allergen information. PinotQR offers an easy, elegant solution with QR codes that meet legal requirements, including automatic translation into 24 languages and future-proofing against regulatory changes. Interested parties can reach out to me directly for more information or check out their site here.

Additionally, I’ve partnered with Blend PR, a creative communications agency specializing in connecting beverage enthusiasts with producers. Keep an eye out for my upcoming articles from their sent beverages to me!

I’m also now a selected Mentor for the Wine Industry Mentor Program, ran by the Wine Communicators of Australia. This initiative aims to nurture the next generation of wine professionals through guidance with seasoned industry leaders.

Back on the academic front, I’m finally about to complete my WSET 4 Diploma, having re-sat the D1 Wine Production exam. I’ve discovered I’m a visual learner and found great resources like @drawntowine on Instagram, which has been incredibly helpful.

I also participated in the Working with Wine Entrance exam, part of a fellowship program focused on wine writing and knowledge, with the chance for published work and mentorship.

I’ve returned to lectures for the D3 Wines of the World module, for my WSET Diploma at TAFESA, covering regions like Australia, New Zealand, and China, facilitated by esteemed educators Sally Johnson DipWSET and Phil Readman MW.

Finally, I’m thrilled to be the new Food and Wine Editor for “Catwalks and Paradise,” a luxury publication in Dubai targeting the affluent.

That’s all for this month!

Stay tuned for more updates next month. Happy sipping!
